Every now and then I’ll play Sims2, though not with the same fervor as some members of my family. The Kid and I have only recently acquired the Nightlife expansion. It’s not an MMO, after all =)
But I seem to be bored with MMOs at the moment, logging into Eve-Online only to train my T2 skills. Having played everything else out there, I’m not inclined to return to any of them. EverQuest II is fine for the weekends when I have enough time to play but right now it’s not holding my attention for more than an hour, either. It’s more exciting to watch reruns of “House” than to fight mean nasties in Enchanted Lands.
So it’s Sims2. And you know what? There are horses for the game! WTF!
My favorite mod site is modthesims2.com. Every year or so I visit them to see what those wonderfully obsessed Simmers have come up with. To my surprise there are horse meshes fitted to car mechanics…as well as stables, fences, riding outfits, horse-drawn carriages, horse transports, medieval horses, and more. Wow.
I’m busily Q-Expressing a bunch of items as I get ready for work. My load time for the game will probably increase by an hour but hey! Palominos and thoroughbreds running around my back yards? Hell, yea!
One of these years I plan to learn to build my own fresh mesh and recolors. Until then, thanks go to all you Sim2 fanatics who have made my neighorhoods look so pimp =) Your level of geekiness and artistry are greatly appreciated!
