Cyd’s mild case of pneumonia has gone bye-bye, but the sinusitis and constant coughing I owned continues to own me. The doctor put me on Sepra DS which is definitely helping. I only break out in a coughing jag when it’s my turn to talk in a meeting. Both the child and I need to keep the humidifiers running at night, so just when I thought my massive electricity bill might come down — not!

But…14 days of antibiotics, followed by 14 more if the first run doesn’t work? Isn’t that, like, frowned upon?

Tracy’s birthday is conveniently known by its secular name, Valentine’s Day. Figuring that more conventional restaurants would be slammed with romantic types, she suggested we hie ourselves to Tajima’s and have some okonomiyaki to celebrate. Great idea! It was nice to spend her birthday with her…something we haven’t done in decades. Quite the enjoyable evening. At the end of the week, we joined Broos and his father at Bully’s in Del Mar for steak. STEAK! Can’t get enough of that happy Cali cornfed STEAK!!

Erm…I think I’m having a panic attack. I’ll be back later when it subsides.
