Staph infection, sprained sciatic, still awaiting the results of the CT scan. I’m a walking medical nightmare, I am. And they want to check my thyroid again, too.

Bleah.

“A Chorus Line” opened for us last night at Hawaii Theatre, with a young and very energetic cast. It was one of the better productions I’ve seen. It was also media night and I had invited a bunch of people from the radio stations. As I was standing outside to say hello to some old friends I kept getting asked if I knew where the programs were kept. Eh, what the heck. I can play hostess quite well when I need to =)

Playbill, anyone? :P

What a week!
Filed by NinjaDoll on October 11th, 2005

Between Tracy’s visit, the coconut napples, the concerts, the ice cream, and the food…ohmygod! Nonstop migraines (not Tracy’s fault, mind you) and nausea have plagued me since the caramel frap I had after our Cold Stone Creamery binge. Not right after — there were a good eight hours between them.

I’m waking up in the middle of the night feeling queasy, and that’s never happened before. So off to the doctor I go, to find out whether I’m suffering some kind of diabetic distress or if I’m merely under too much pressure. Anxiety, you see, manifests itself in very strange ways. Then again it could all be part of the thyroid imbalance, or eye strain from too much gaming :P

The visit with Tracy was fab! She’s awesome company, and our jaunt through Waikiki was tons of fun. We shopped, we drank frilly non-alcoholic beverages with umbrellas, we chatted on the balcony of her hotel room. Cyd had a great time at her Thursday night sleepover and mom enjoyed spending time with all of us at the Moiliili (Moy-eel-ee-eel-ee) Fair. We should do this again, minus the four-year waiting period. Love ya, ’ster!

Where did the time go?
Filed by NinjaDoll on October 1st, 2005

I can’t believe it’s October already…where has the time gone? I guess it goes with the hectic pace of my work that I don’t even notice the weeks slip past. I’m happy that Tracy will be here for a visit this week, but not happy that I have events every weekend from now until November. November! Didn’t I just celebrate Thanksgiving, 2004?
