I can’t wait! Ma soeur is coming to visit next week. Whee!!

Dustin, my hunk of eye candy, paged my mobile to let me know he was going home from having a cancerous tumor taken out of his chest. I’m waiting to see the scar…after all, what are webcams for? And I can rest a little easier knowing he’s ok.

Also, in a stellar stroke of the keyboard, the other parent of my child, writing under the name Weldon Berger, has crafted a political satire piece that even I can enjoy. Yes, he’s a Bush-basher — at least he’s the kind who will equally bash any president who’s stupid enough to be…well…stupid. Even if you’re a die-hard Bush supporter, the read might interest you for its outstanding quality.

In other news, Cyd and I joined her pal Kharim and Kharim’s mom, Karen, at Sunset On The Beach last night so that we could watch “Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy.” This was after she attended her friend Tiffany Lam’s birthday party. Right after the movie I had to rush her back to Tiffany’s place so she could do a sleep-over, at which point the girls plunked me down in a chair and did a (not half-bad) makeover on me. Duly gussied up I thought about going out, but when I got home I simply fell asleep

I’m soooo tired this weekend. Two weekends of shows (and three solid weeks of utter chaos at work) and I am exhausted. Poor Cyd had to put up with my napping for four hours (I so very rarely nap anymore) yesterday. So today I made up for it by taking her to a movie. We saw “Sky High,” which wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.

I’ve also rented “Constantine” and “Druids” and am about to pop one of them into the DVD. I’ll probably fall asleep halfway through, so I’d best save the Keanu Reeves rental for tomorrow

I hope all of you slept well. It would be a shame if we were all zombie-like and heavy-lidded.
