Of all the infomercially available skin care systems endorsed or developed by celebrities, this one piqued my interest because I never thought I'd see Jane Seymour hawking an anti-aging system.  When I ordered Natural Advantage I had just finished a 60-day course of Meaningful Beauty^®, Cindy Crawford's anti-aging regimen.  While I wasn't particularly unhappy with the melon-extract formulation it didn't exactly send me to the moon with joy.  I therefore didn't expect much from Natural Advantage, thinking only that it couldn't be worse than my last facial experiment.

It turns out I've found the best thing for my face since it manufactured its own collagen and elastin.  Results in one week: yes.  Beautiful results: yes.  My skin feels smoother, looks refreshed, and those fine lines that threatened to join the deeper lines are definitely diminished.

The Daily Cleansing Gel is effective in removing makeup and feels like silky cream when used.  Both moisturizers also feel luxurious.  There's no real fragrance to speak of, which definitely cuts down on overall irritation (see my caveats below), and my skin looks and feels ultra-clean and pampered on days when I skip the makeup.

I've most definitely noticed a change in the size of my pores, which means a lot to me.  I've always suffered from large pores so I appreciate anything that "shrinks" them out of existence.  Natural Advantage works very well on the fine lines here and there but it hasn't changed much about the deeper ones — in other words, they don't seem to be diminishing at all, but this is a skin care system, not a miracle concoction.  The fact that the finer lines, especially around my eyes, aren't getting deeper is good enough for me!

There are some caveats:

For something called "Natural Advantage," I would've expected far more botanically-based ingredient lists than the ones that appear on the bottles; dimethicone, for instance, is a silicone-based lubricating polymer, and PEG-7 glyercyl cocoate is an emollient that can cause rashes or acne in certain individuals.  On the other hand, the inclusion of bisabolol, a natural alcohol derived from chamomile (Matricaria recutita), which acts as a buffer against irritation and microbes, was a pleasant surprise.

The AM All Day Moisturizer with AHAs was somewhat irritating during the first 30 days, so I used Cetaphil moisturizer in combination with it.  Over the following three weeks I slowly removed the cetaphil until all I had was the AM moisturizer.  I've not had any redness or rash since then, not even after at-home micro-dermabrasion sessions.

As an anti-aging system it's delicious but it won't work on other problems that may haunt your complexion.  So while my skin feels much smoother, it isn't any less bumpy.  Natural Advantage isn't helping with the little white bumps I sometimes develop – I use something else for those – but it certainly diminishes their impact in a visible, bare face-friendly way.

All in all, Natural Advantage did exactly what it said it would do for me, at a reasonable price and with minimal (just 2 steps) effort.  There are supplemental items available, such as neck firming and eye creams, but I find I don't need these.  I've also opted out of the Rapid-Start Anti-Aging Peel because it exacerbates stress flare-ups on my skin.

So Natural Advantage has found its place in my daily beauty ritual.  It'll take a truly stellar product to knock it from the top of my "best" list, that's for sure!

Pros:

1. The trial set, including bonus items, is $30 plus shipping and handling.  Thereafter, it costs about $45 a month.
2. The system is easy to use: cleanse and moisturize and you're done!
3. The basic components, the Daily Cleansing Gel and the AM and PM moisturizers, work so well that the extra items aren't really necessary.
4. The Daily Cleansing Gel feels less like a gel and more like a luxury cream; skin feels thoroughly cleansed and refreshed after use.

Cons: 

1. Less "natural" than expected.
2. Known irritant (PEG-7 glyercyl cocoate) is part of the formula, which can limit its use by women with more sensitive skin.
3. It works well on pores, fine lines, and skin tone but has little to no effect on skin texture for women with difficult complexions.
